I don’t know me like I once knew
All I know are words that tenderly condescend
What was real to me, to you was pretend
I'd love to forgive and forget
But In the back of my mind I still feel the neglect
It has now manifested into loneliness
And I fear in my heart only this
Happiness in life is no guarantee
I am not who I used to be
One day I’ll try to look back and smile
But I’m certain that day won’t come round for awhile [comments] => 0 [counter] => 79 [topic] => 32 [informant] => raspberry89 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry ) Your Poetry Dot Com - One Fine Day

I don’t live like I used to
I don’t know me like I once knew
All I know are words that tenderly condescend
What was real to me, to you was pretend

It has now manifested into loneliness
And I fear in my heart only this

But I’m certain that day won’t come round for awhile
