Colors twist, swirling in the drop
Flashes of time that won't stop
Emotions stream in endless bound
Ceaselessly booming in silent sound

See the point of time's triangle three
Feelings stripped from me to thee
Promises carrying that inner child
Ones yearning to just run wild

She doesn't see the face grown old
She sees the youngster ever bold
Watching as the tears slowly drop
Life's kaleidoscope doesn't stop

Reflections pass in rapid motion
Crashing waves of time's lost ocean
Blinking, she tries to give hope a grasp
Sighing, knowing, she's done at last

One final look, doesn't want to stay
She's just one of life's stupid strays
Knife in hand; let's end this game
There's no one left to place the blame

Look into the reflections of her eyes
No one home to hear her sad cries
Teardrops fall, fade into the cold air
Life as she sees it has never been fair

Dare she go through with the final slice
Or does she wait for life to play nice
She'd done all she knows to beg again
Time has proven neither love or friend

Hesitating as she looks close to find hope
Deep breath, searching for strength to cope
Knife beckons, yet the soul tries to resist
Waiting for love to rise from the dark mist

Arms surround as hate falls to the floor
Love has broken through hate's locked door
She looks up, see the face of a brave one
She should have known; it's love's one sun

Smiling, it wraps her within its golden light
It gives wings to her chance at life's flight
She faces tomorrow as she ignores hate's call
One to one, love catches all that dare to fall
