King Laurence listened while Duke Morley spoke.
His speech wrought havoc deep within king’s soul.
“ Give me your blade, Duke Morley, smite with stroke
two thousand nigh this Acre’s vile hell hole.”
“This, my king, I’ll do writing great the scroll,
blood bright for close angelic hosts to see.”
“And me thinks knight should play now a new role,
do place Stephanus knight in line with me.
From viper’s lair, Duke Morley, he will be set free.”
