Outline sketched in black and white
Nothing I could hold onto
But I kept filling in the blanks
Each day another hue revealed
Clues to what I thought I saw
Something playful something brooding
In the eyes of one man’s soul
Everything turned inside out
Compelling need to understand
Hiding pain behind his laughter
Let me in to comfort you
Quiet moments close together
We let our friendship grow
Then it transforms
Into need that builds like steam
Demanding immediate attention
Craving for so much more
Than we ever thought there was
Lure me closer and closer still
Yielding all to you each night
