Advent is for preparation

For the coming of the King;

King of hearts and our salvation,

Our being's source and spring.

Advent is for transformation,

Time to pray and be tranquil,

For He comes, man's consolation,

Every open heart to fill.

Dark are hours in Advent,

Dusky twilight fills the day,

Sun rays feeble, weak and faint,

With the skies a murky gray.

Then the days begin to grow,

For the Savior brings increase,

Tepid hearts begin to glow

To our Sun, Christ Adonis.

Advent is a new Debut,

New beginning, new a start,

To make thrive and bloom and bough,

And the song strings of the heart.

Magnificat~- the maiden praised

The Lord and hugged Elizabeth,

The humble maiden God had raised

To glory's highest blessedness.

Magnificat, Magnificat!

The savior of the fallen world.

Thanks her obedient 'FIAT'

Has in her womb a tiny finger curled.

Sacred is the Advent Season,

To prepare for Him t'is meant,

Jesus only is the reason

And the joy of His Advent.
