the way I choose to be

far away from the glamour life
that I'd like to live
doing what I must
giving all I have to give
welcome to the real world
is what I always tell myself
the glamour life I wanted
belongs to someone else
but if I had a chance
to turn it all around
you might think I'm crazy
for the way that this will sound
I would'nt change anything
or any place or time
because the life that I lead
this is really mine
from my sleaveless shirts & blue jeans
that I choose to wear
it's the portrait of my image
that I choose to share
I choose to be like noone
that I have ever known
the image that you see
is surely my own
that is the only details
that I will give of me
the rest you'll find in pages
of my poetry
