Frozen Tears

Sitting in sadness...
no grief held at bay,
as tears sting my senses...
the world turns to gray,

Such coldness around me...
my fingers like ice,
come embrace me... a blizzard...
so cold that it bites,

I tried hard to speak,
breath froze in mid air,
then the numbness surrounds me...
and my heart starts to tear,

don't touch me... don't hold me...
don't look with sad eyes,
just give me a fire...
the perfect disguise,

don't hate me for hiding...
don't shun me for love,
don't watch while i'm crying...
as pain rains from above,

If only this moment...
was deep in the dark,
no light shed upon me...
not even a spark.
