R.I.P Tree
Date: Tuesday, 2nd October 2012 @ 08:53:46 PM AEST Topic: Sad Poetry

A tree soared tall, elegant in its peace.
Suddenly it crumbles, piece by piece.
Roots like anchors, embedded to the land.
Now brittle and feeble, no longer grand.
A trunk so powerful, confidence it embraced.
Spine is now damaged, confidence erased.
Branches grew firm, they sprouted without fear.
Arms now weak, all is unclear.
Vibrant leaves, sang in the waves of air.
Now scattered across land, the tree is left bare.
Winter is upon us, you did not prepare.
The storm is approaching, little tree beware.
The tempest has hit, little tree crashes.
what once stood, has turned to ashes.
