Here today, gone tomorrow

Today is another day,
every second that goes by, delivered into the past.
No matter how hard you try,
to hold on, won’t last.
Smiles and frowns
expressions created by our face.
Only a photo,
can obviously hold a trace.
A moment there is for everything,
some moments praised at high.
Everyone has their moments,
that includes you and I.
Another day,
now looked at from the past.
Moments cherished,
moments that did not last.
Immortality is a myth,
human life does not last so long.
It’s controlled by time
or anything we might do, right or wrong.
Stop and think,
listen to the sound of your heart.
Think of what you will do next,
before you even start
As you are thinking,
time passes by.
You think about your life,
and have so many questions why?
Your heart beats,
your lungs inhale fresh air.
As you are thinking
you find yourself in a stare.
Time you ask,
it is something I do not know.
How does it pass us by?
where does it go?
When life is enjoyed,
moments in time are to cherish.
Enjoy the time you have,
because eventually you will perish.
I too love life,
being alive is the greatest thing.
Even though I understand time is short,
i have every reason to sing.
So let today,
be yesterday, or the days before.
Bring happiness in your own life,
only you can open that door.
