I thought I could fix anything
that my eye's could clearly see
but until now I never thought about
trying to fix me

my kids call me the fix it man
a name I'm proud to hold
I make them smile when their unhappy
at least this is what I'm told

it's always been apart of me
to simply make a smile
for anyone that would cross my path
it only took a little while

I thank god for my children
for with them I know I'm blessed
but I just cannot figure out
how I became such a mess

no matter what I try to do
there is always something not Right
no matter what it's based upon
though I try with all my might

anymore I just brush it off
to what has to be will be
it is my major imperfection
trying to fix me
