Their wings out toward the sky?
Nor whistled natures’ melodies
While circling clouds on high?

What if the dog did never bark,
And the cat had no meow?
Nor never was a bellowed moo
From deep within a cow?

What if the sky was not so blue,
And trees were pink not green?
Or darkness was forever?
Or our eyes had never seen?

What if our friendship started
Much earlier in life?
Of this one thing I’m certain,
I would still love you as my wife!
