Love's Piece of Me

All in one swift motion
Love came and threw me
HIgh in the air
Feeling the wind in my lungs
And the beat in my chest
I could only throw my arms open
To embrace the sun
But like a common fool
I never thought to look down
And see Love's absence
I never conceived
As I came falling back down
Love would not be there
To catch me
My erotic harmony
Turned to fear
With my breath sharply sucked in
And my arms drawn to my chest
I could only accept my fate
With accelerated speed and fierce wind
I crashed to the ground
Broken
But even through my brokenness
I called Love's name
Beckoned amity to me
And gave Love a unique piece of me
