Ashtrays Sinking
Date: Tuesday, 1st November 2011 @ 09:12:42 AM AEST Topic: Sad Poetry
Contributed By: BTripleL22
Tobacco smoke lingers,
A freshly crushed cherry smolders; pollutes.
Laughter from afar,
Across from the vestibule.
Heads turn, uneventful.
Back to the task at hand.
Eating.
Smoking.
Idle Conversation.
Small Talk.
Eavesdropping causes cancer.
Cancer of the ears.
A hand reaches for the salt.
An ashtray falls to the floor.
