My Peaceful Place
Brush aside the wispy cobwebs
Here on the edge of reason
At the border of my consciousness
Disassociate from thought and chase peace
Tranquillity behind the stigma of drudgery.
I long for relaxation, meditation, reflection;
Eyes closed and breathing so shallow
Breaths as light as air the only sound.
Nearly there at that place of Shangri La, Xanadu;
My mind paints a panorama of warm amber
Punctuated at areas with eruptions of light
Soothing, flowing into the sky to fall gently as stars
Covering the floor with a carpet of imagery.
There is no time here in my place, no sound just calm.
No-one comes here but me for there is no door.
Everyone has a key to the realm but paths never cross
For this is ones own personal kingdom
In the Universe of Contemplation.
