the bright red lights fly by in this damp town
and the leaves are falling down
another season without you around

I made a call to spring and asked if you could swing by
but my call was declined
So I drove to summer and waited by the tide
but no blue eyes

You smiled at me, quite frequently
Out of the corner of my eye
You'd whisper like an angel,
that it would all be alright

I sat through winter shivering sweat
and words I hadn't told you yet
I pulled the cold sheets around me
and tried not to forget

I have no idea why

I'm used to this by now
