I’m in love
I’m in love
I’m in love
When will you see?
Will you ever understand?
My heart hardly beats
When you aren’t around.
I see you and
You’re all I see.
Darkness blankets the earth
Everywhere where you are not.
The world hides,
Leaving only you,
The only sight I want to see.
Do you see me?
Do you even know me?
I see her emerging
From the thick blackness.
Slowly, the tear in my heart
Begins to rip open.
I want to scream
To get your attention
Back to me.
Selfishness.
It’s my only quality
When you’re around.
I want you only for myself,
No sharing allowed.
But you aren’t mine to keep.
You were never mine.
I want you,
It’s only a want.
Possibly a need,
I find it hard to breathe
When you aren’t around,
Yet, when you are here
My breathing stops entirely.
It’s the pure beauty,
Radiating from you.
It captures me,
In a daze,
And I cannot breathe.
And I see her,
Approaching you.
Disgust fills me
As she speaks,
Smiles,
Laughs.
How I long for you to
Make me laugh.
But you aren’t mine.
I’m in love

With someone
Who doesn’t care.
