Picture This, Will You?

Imagine yourself the happiest you've ever been
Imagine a love flowing through your veins, so thick that it almost hurts
But it hurts so good
All of this stemming from a single person
They bring you joy, love, security and comfort
They are your world, maybe even your universe
Now picture that same person
Facing your way, they're perfect
All that you could ask for and more
But sometimes they shy away
They turn their back so you can't really see
And you're unsure, losing confidence
That bond that holds you two together isn't feeling as strong
The trust is slipping off your skin, falling to the ground
Until they turn back around, and you can see their face again
But you hesitate to pick up the trust
And shrug it back on, just in case they turn again
Once confidence is restored, there's no need to hesitate
Then it kills you inside to think you hesitated, even if just a moment
Then imagine they turn their back to you again
