I always wondered if I could
I always wondered if I should
Just stop acting so strange

Well I did and I pretended
To be something I'm not
The more approval that I got
The more my treson I extended

Your cheers they made me blind
And soon the mirror's reflection
Just showed me pure adaption
But not the stupor of my mind

The moments when I don't feel numb
They lessen by the hour
But then I know I am the coward
I always dreaded to become. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 125 [topic] => 43 [informant] => essential [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops ) Your Poetry Dot Com - mea culpa

How eays it is to change
I always wondered if I could
I always wondered if I should
Just stop acting so strange

Well I did and I pretended
To be something I'm not
The more approval that I got
The more my treson I extended

Your cheers they made me blind
And soon the mirror's reflection
Just showed me pure adaption
But not the stupor of my mind

The moments when I don't feel numb
They lessen by the hour
But then I know I am the coward
I always dreaded to become.
