Mind's Eye

Soft the voice that calms my soul and brings
Soothing in harmony of sound and tranquil
Pondering, to bring the curtain of flesh down
On the physical.
To illuminate the stage for the spiritual, and
I find there
I am walking,
Through and through
the centre of my eye.
Hungry, in dilation my pupil, like
a ravenous creature breathes, with each and
Every breath an increasing darkness
Engulfing,
Till global in size.
I am swallowed,
Suspended.
Staring into the black hole,
My captor!
Blood through optical capilliaries
Rushes over me
Pulsating in waves,
And it is through this very portal I am transformed!
I am the strength in the pounding of dragons
Wing, as it
Beats a path to face me
Then vanishes!
I am doves’ full flight in purest
Image. A moment of purity
Swallowed into obscurity.
I am comforted by
Oscillating movements of humming birds
Wings, bringing cooling
And refreshing breeze
To my face.
And I am lifted up
To honey comb skies,
Where I am consumed!
I am the image of my mind’s eye!
