I whispered into the air at midnight
and sang the praises of you.
Looking past the mean spirit over the years
always trying to consistantly love you.

Often times day-dreaming, speed thinking
of how it all could have been.
If for one moment you would attempt
to give up the nasty and just be a person.

I know deep within my heart
that things are just as they seem.
Years have flown by, lots of tears cried
tears falling into a constant wild river stream.

I could say it doesn't matter
that would be a lie, I think there is enough of that.
So maybe for now, I will just think
and say you have failed the attempt.......

( it is very sad when a person just cannot escape their cycle of abuse and then spends a life time inflicting it on others)
I will not continue on this path anymore!
