Chains Of A Secret

The chains are bound,
And my lips are sealed,
For what is my world, lost and lonely,
Compared to yours?
I am clearly not the matter
And besides, they're blind to see,
What's the matter behind me.

And to you, where I've settled my debt,
Where I've placed eternity next to soul,
Tears running down the bones of my cheek,
Down to the tips of my toes,
Where a fracture is started
Near the end of my limited heart.

Nobody lasts forever,
And we only have one life.
So why waste it wondering what could've been?
Am I bound to this secret?
Are my lips a vise?
To keep you well, untainted and whole?
A choice I have made so you remain certain.
Confusion shant weep over you,
For you have had it worse than I.

And as for your other half,
Of whom which is not me,
Why should I hurt them?
They've done nothing to cause me harm.
So I won't cause it for them.
To wish upon someone who hasn't touched me,
The pain that I with-hold,
Would be wrong in the face of God,
Who is telling me so.

Selflessness is what I am about,
Blind to the world.
I glance upon a night's star
That someone looks into the glass figures,
And see how in dept of sorrow they lay.
And hear the muffled sobs beneath the facade
And offer the strength of a new.

I am crying out,
The clouds and the neverending sky can hear,
The broken and pleading quiet
I now persist.
Once I glance you,
And suddenly, I'm not alone anymore.
You'll know the truth.
Neverending ribbons still tie us,
The gift of a friend truely overcomes the pain I forever carry,
And cannot take back.

But now you know the truth,
And I tell you, I don't want you to part,
With what you truely want.
And if you care enough,
You can have me either way,
True friendship or something more?
Your choice.
But for now,
I am bound,
By the chains of a secret.
