Feet Fail Me Not

As i sit not knowing if I’m truly awake,
or if I’m in some form of purgatory
the air that I breathe seems to be laden
my heart seems to have grown comatose
I’m alone, walls broken,
feet fail me not

I persist, not through any choice of my own
but because there is no other alternative
as i seek a break, a chance, an opportunity
to break this chain of sorrow
i force myself to see an end to my misery

carry me away from this place
carry me to where I can breathe
carry my weight without falter
i will not stumble any longer
feet fail me not
