Portals

Portals to nowhere
Through crystal falls
Blackened through years
Of neglected walls
Once was filled with hope
A child’s imagination
Colors so brilliant
Joy and jubilation
The worlds collided
The damage done
No victory here
No one won
Along came a spider
Unusually marked
Web like silk
On fence near the park
Unique it catches
The magic within
Bringing back
That lost by sin
Once more wonder
Awe inspired joy
Portals now open
Back is the little boy
