Eloquent sequential order of every phrase
Sculpted for her - and her alone
She thinks on it for hours and hours
Playing with the strands of thought
Like pearls of wisdom
Dangling there before her
Costing her everything
She has and will ever have
You knowingly squander
Her time away in increments
Taking and taking but never giving
And she is fool enough to want more
Of this unfulfilling banquet
Piled high with empty words
Tossed back and forth across the table
We will be sent to bed – you're smiling
Wanting and not wanting her
She is resilient - she is moonlight
You are fire licking her senses
Tempting her to take one step closer
To what end she asks
Before she jumps
Leaving you to sputter in the dark
