everything except for the things that come with money

now, money might not buy a joyous soul
but who is jolly anyways so let the money have its toll

some even say it wont buy u love
but somehow the best of love only crowns the wealthy cove

though for poor there is indeed a lot to miss
robbed of ostentation by money's eternal bliss

how they stay bereaved from expensive eloquence, feather bed
and french wine, finer hollow means to dine

so truth be told, it seems money is all we need
to fill our stomachs with insouciance of empty greed

and who needs love when u have fallen for pelf
cos it treats u well and adding interest, takes care of itself... i have everything i want, but ofcourse i speak with irony
everything except for the things that come with money

now, money might not buy a joyous soul
