Such a long shadow you cast.
May I seek refuge in the coolness of your shade?
I am but a reflection of what is real,
too close for minute detail.
Figure and foreground,
each with a perception of what is around.
Only a small shadow of my presence is found.
In spite of the warmth of the sun,
your shade is very comforting.
It is in the comfort of shade that my best work is done.
In the shadows I shall hide,
where enchantment transcends the darkness inside.
