Lack of enchantment, like thirst robbed my senses
Introducing something gritty into my eyes
Blindness intruded itself as darkness
Leaving me speechless without a tongue
Plagued by nightmares and daydreams
I could not sleep or stay awake
Alone in the crowd I was abandoned
Traveling in time I had no destination
Clocks running backwards unwound me
My soul propelled to the brink of abyss
Every word changed its meaning on the page
Lovers followed me like hungry dogs to the grave
Clamoring for more than I could give them
Devoured by self-admiration I lay dead
Headless corpse without a reflection
Order decaf when I stopped at the oasis
Thinking moonlight has many faces
