Felt their way across my window--I sat--
My tomb, of the most dispiriting color,
Overwhelmed by gloom that envelops
The brightest of suns that ever grace the hours
Of our feeble world.
My spirit--gone long ago--absent from my incasement
As I await this last thought:

When the last cloud dissapears
In the holy darkness that shown from a distance
And draws ever closer, revealed in its painful emptiness
That of the loneliest seas of nothingness, I die.
To no longer be of existence, as of the times before
When the skies were dry and heaven's fires were blind,
Here again--is nothing.
