To You, My Father
Date: Tuesday, 1st June 2010 @ 09:03:48 AM AEST Topic: Sad Poetry
Contributed By: JakerBaker88
Your laugh is rough,
Almost unnatural;
It rings in my ears,
Like a shrill bell it chimes---
Yet I find it beautiful.
You are my father
And though stern,
With love you guide me----
Your laughter a mark of affection.
Without you I'd be lost,
A part of myself missing;
I would not be complete---
A daughter with only a mother.
Thank you dad
For being my protector,
And my friend------
Your laughter leads me home.
