I feel it brush against my self,
Something I haven’t felt,
In quite some time.

I feel gloom and depression,
Ever so constantly,
The brush of kindness,
Burns against me.

Should I accept this happiness?
Even if lost,
It’s depressions cost?

You bring me this smile,
So true and real,
I had thought,
Forever it was gone.

Should I take this chance?
And ignore the risks?
Should I drop these walls?

I’m not quite sure how to see,
Or exactly how to be,
Being scared is just fine,
But no coward am I.

I’ll take the chance,
Acknowledge the risks,
And with you I’ll live.

Chance the Risks, Forget the Burn

I feel it brush against my self,
Something I haven’t felt,
In quite some time.

I feel gloom and depression,
Ever so constantly,
The brush of kindness,
Burns against me.

Should I accept this happiness?
Even if lost,
It’s depressions cost?

You bring me this smile,
So true and real,
I had thought,
Forever it was gone.

Should I take this chance?
And ignore the risks?
Should I drop these walls?

I’m not quite sure how to see,
Or exactly how to be,
Being scared is just fine,
But no coward am I.

I’ll take the chance,
Acknowledge the risks,
And with you I’ll live.
