Your Poetry Dot Com - The Girl with Black Hair

This is a story of a girl with black hair,
And a boy who felt love that was never there.
Everything was great and he was so happy,
Then got condemned for being too sappy.
He expressed his love too much for her liking,
And her anger struck him like a sharp bolt of lightning.
So one day she said she needed a break,
He tried to stay with her… BIG mistake.
He tried to give her the time she desperately needed,
While the love flowed from his heart as if it bleeded.
Now his heart is hardened once more,
As she took it and smashed it all over the floor.
He recovered once, can it happen again?
He tried but failed to even call her a friend.
Away she most go now for him to have feeling,
A choice that is hard but one that he’s needing.
This is the way that it must be,
So he can once more regain his peace.
No more love, he cant take it, no way,
Alone in this world is the safest to stay.
You can keep trying, but beware,
And don’t end up like me and the girl with black hair.
