Fire Lighter

I met a man away from the land
said he could do anything with his hands
just with a look
and a chant from his book
fire burned in his hands
the look in his eye
said don't be surprised
magic is all in the mind
you don't learn tricks
with a head full of bricks
turn and face the light
I met a girl
who left behind the world
she was alone, cold and tired
just with a look
and a chant from my book
her bones warmed beside the fire
the look in my eye
said don't be surprised
magic is all in the mind
you don't learn tricks
with a head full of bricks
she came toward the light
for years we had roamed
for it was each other we seek
fire burned in our eyes
words cannot speak
but the look in our eyes tell you don't be surprised
magic is all in the mind
you don't learn tricks
with a head full of bricks
come toward the light.
