Make A Difference

With one life to live,
What can I give?
Do you have a preference to how I make a difference?
With numerous death and disease all around,
As planes turn to flames as they come to the ground,
There needs to be smiles to take the place of these frowns.
Through all of this sadness, destruction, and demise,
And the tears that are cried from young children’s eyes,
There must be a way to give them a better life.
And before all is said and done,
And I have finally finished this race I have run,
I pray to the Lord that this sorrow goes mum.
And with all that I am I will strive to be,
A light in this world for all to see.
A man who will take the pain from the Earth,
So people won’t feel the sharp thorns of hurt.
And if I could take it all on myself,
I would do so that all would know their worth.
