Verse 1
I woke up crying again last night,
Wondering what I did to cause this stupid fight.
And there's nothing I can do but just lay here in bed,
Awake remembering all the things you said:

"You hurt me; you hate me. I can't ever tell
If living with you will be heaven or hell.
And all that I wish for is the day that you'd see
That I just want to love you as much as you need me."

Verse 2
I started to wonder why nothing was right,
Why I haven't been able to sleep through the night.
I could finally see and reached beside my bed,
Picked up the phone and called you and said:

If being with you will be heaven or hell.
And all that I wish for is the day that you'd see,
That I just want to love you as much as you love me.

Bridge
Boy, come home I know just what to do.
Seems all this time what was missing was you.
Please just forgive me and I'll promise today
That I'll try my hardest so that you'll never say:
