Time passes strangely here,
In this place so beautiful,
Yet so filled with pain, but also peace.
Nothing you can do; time to say goodbye.
Sometimes you just have to let go of the things in this life.
Don't worry about me, you know I'll be fine.
I've got some crazy people to keep me in line.
And I thank God for them every day,
Even as he comes to take you way.
There's nothing I can do, I guess I must let go of you.
I am the Strong One; I cannot fall.
But you know I never wanted to see you here at all.
Yet I needed to be here, be strong for her,
Because without me who else can she count on?
And I look down at you, and see what she will be,
Scaring all the life out of me.
And I'll wish you were here, but you're at peace now.
Gone to rest and breathe for a while.
So just please remember, as you're watching over me,
That'll I'll always try to be the person you thought I could be.
