I've been knocked down in the past year and there's much I've been through
Life has changed so much right before my eyes but through it all I remain
hopeful

I'm taking in what I need to learn and continuing forward each day
The Lords promises are the only thing I should hold to and acknowledge him in
every way

My ways are not his ways but one thing is for sure
if I acknowledge him in all my ways then he will gladly open the door

The door to the desires of my heart and in mine there is one thing grand
I'm praying hard for a brand new start though I know in his word I must stand

Must be careful not to let my own desire become all that consumes me
For it is His will I must follow and if I do in the end I will achieve

Achieve his perfect will for my life no matter if it’s not my plan
Because I know my life is better off if I leave it in His hands

No matter how hard it is I will hold firm to his word as I pray that He gives me
what's in my heart
I know this time around I'll do better to wait for my brand new start....
