Well this is it
Nowhere else to go
Nothing else to write
Tis time to leave

Forget this path of destruction and sorrow
No longer trapped by grief
Seeing for the first time
Sunshine breaking through

Beyond this dark and lonely valley
I walk this track alone
But with a determined mindset

Looking back I smile
Weeping for what I leave behind
Turning around
Face towards the sun
Basking in radiant light

Goodbye to all this
Smiling I know it’s the end
I will always remember
Never to come back
