Your Poetry Dot Com - who I had become,,

I've looked into the mirror,
I felt that i knew you,
I thought that you were someone that i wanted to be,
or someone that I wanted to know,

but know i see another person,
who looks at me,
this is someone that i know now,
not as before,
but a better person than what i was,

i see someone that I could be proud of being,
i see a person who i want to be like,
i see a person who had struggled through life,
and accomplished his dreams,

our past lifes are not the people we want to be as,
we see our lifes in a different way,
we grew up from children to adults,
and i am happy for who and what i had become.

I had become a better person to others,
i had respect for those who try,
and those who are not able,
I'am the person who i want to be now,

I look into the mirror,
and I see the person who i am now,
someone who respects the words of the wise,
someone who looks for the future of the children,
for they are our future,

I hope that they look into the mirror,
and see the things that will make them happy in life,
not as i seen in mine,
i look into the mirror and i can see tomorrow,,
