fill your insides with the scent of forever,
put your throat on hold
and answer the phone.
with a flip of the dial
you can feel worse than before.
you can become less than you were
you can toy with the world
die a fraction less in the end
the hope that you'll live a little more.

yeah, i don't know anymore
i guess i gave up before i could find out.
anything of value now
lives and dies in my shallow breaths
barley audible under the weight
of my heavy heart
hardly standing
under the pressure
of its inconsistent pumping.

So spray your face with perfume.
fill your insides with the scent of forever,
