All my life the darkness has surrounded.

All my life I have doubted,

Doubted I would ever escape my demons.

Doubted that I would ever end this torment.

Doubted I would ever "feel" the feelings I've heard of

Heard of in stories

Heard of all my life

Never would the shadow stop chasing me.

Never would I be exposed to happiness.

Never until I met you.

When I met you, I found what I had been searching for.

Searching for all my life. The key to destroying my demons.

In you I have found my Happiness, my reason for living.

In you I have found this thing they call love.

In your eyes I can see me. I can see my shadow has ceased.

Although it is still there barely on the horizon of my life.

I can breathe, I can speak. Because of you,

Because of you my faith in people has been restored

My faith I lost long ago when I thought no one cared

Long ago when betrayal was like the rain that happened

Happened all the time, lies like the wind all around you.

My life I owe to you. Although you may not know,

May not know, you saved me.

Saved me from my shadow.

I no longer cower in that corner, when your with me,

My nights are no longer alone and dark.

Pain? Suffering? Torment? These words belong to a world

A world that is no longer mine. Because of you,

Because of you I want to live, I want to wake up tomorrow.

Tomorrow in a world anew. Happiness, compassion, Love

This is my new world you have brought me to.

Brought me from my world of darkness.

Saved me from my shadow.

All my life darkness has surrounded... No more

All my life a shadow has chased me... No more

Because of you; My shadow no longer chases me.

All my life the darkness has surrounded.

All my life I have doubted,
