We oft speak of love, easy to say.
Actions speak louder than words.
Absurd to think that little word
could be so hard to understand or believe.

Holding on with both hands
to find the other letting go.
The hands getting slippery
the hands of time moving slow.

The word believe seems a bit harder.
It seems you have given up on that word.
You took a step forward
now you have taken twenty back.

I see you falling, the feeling is hollow
the landslide is coming, I watch you go.
Nothing to say, no more to do.
Holding on with both hands, waving goodbye to you.

I turn my back and walk away.
Holding my truth in the palm of my hand.
If you do not know it by now,
I have held on for a life time to you with both hands.

It is the letting go, the truth and the mystery.
The past and the time we made our own history.
Watch it all float and drift before my eyes.
There is nothing left, I believe I lived in a lie.

The lie of you........ who took me for granted.
Such a waste of all the years and the friendship
or was it one sided all along??????
