**** you and the image you framed
the one you won't put away
the one you're waiting for me to disgrace
who was my saving grace?
i wont credit myself or save myself
yeah, save myself up for a rainy day
and who would use me as currency?
half a heart and half a brain
don't make a person these days
i'm just a few steps away
from remembering how breathing felt
remembering how to be alone
camaraderie is nothing more than a
visual aid, the perfect escape
so if you want me to be skinny
then i won¡¯t eat for days
if you want me to be happy
then i'll cry when you're away
and if all you've ever wanted
was to prove yourself
to yourself
then you can chase that dream alone
because i can't help you wait
and sometimes i feel like
my entire life is summarized
by a laundry basket of wet clothes
i never wanted anything more
then to feel at home
and for my mind to leave me alone
when i'm alone
yeah, when i can't get a hold
of that scapegoat i loved to blame
"years of abuse and
still a smile on her face!"
i can't promise you gold
but if you let me live
i can promise you
i'll
at least
be happy.
