you who make heartless demands on me
juggled and tapdanced until my legs and arms were sore
sang and danced until i could take no more
now i guess we're through...

this is where all the hate goes
when i swallow it's bitter powder whole
i choke and i cough and i swallow it down

this is where i tell myself i have no needs
go without sleep and food, to bleed
for someone else's piece of mind

and this is where i'm sick of it
and this is where i threw away
yards and yards of white picket fence just to be happy...
this is where i second guess every little move
and eat my words whole [comments] => 3 [counter] => 319 [topic] => 75 [informant] => inlovewithaladd [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => anguished ) Your Poetry Dot Com - I tried
