When I am down and in my darkest stage,
I am leaning on God's everlasting arms.
When I get old and live through old age,
I am leaning on God's everlasting arms.
When I am happy and feel like singing,
I am leaning on God's everlasting arms.
When I hear the prayerbells ringing,
I am leaning on God's everlasting arms.
On my job and in my home,
I am leaning on God's everlasting arms.
When I am bored and all alone,
I am leaning on God's everlasting arms.
When the body is cramping and the soul is weak,
I am leaning on God's everlasting arms.
Unto that blessed and heavenly mansion which I seek,
I am leaning on God's everlasting arms.
When I wake up and when I sleep,
I am leaning on God's everlasting arms.
When my heart is broken and I need to weep,
I am leaning on God's everlasting arms.
