Trust placed
In the hands of you
Open and free
She gives it to you
With this trust
Comes a heart
And a mind
All this time
I wanted it to be mine
I wanted to bear
And carry it all
I would take it now
Never let it fall
She gave it to you
And you threw away
You were just too scared
But would never say
Now her love turned cold
Heart straight to stone
I watched it all
Go down like snow
So very slow
It was a painful show
She’ll never know
I loved her so
Of this I thought
As she turned to go
