The Silk About My Heart

I need to get free
This web of silk
Spun so well
Holding me in misery
I need to feel the wind tearing loose the cobs
To feel the joy
The peace of nature
Washing cross my feet the water
Flowing as I wander in the stream
To dream again
Without worry
Of night mares…
…of you
…of me without you
To swim again in a pool, clear and cool
Christened among the fishes
Reborn to life, where
Hope seeks the horizon
Yet, content among the fishes
Swimming for the sake
The sun upon the banks
Warming there in wait
Casting off the spiders
Tearing at my heart
