corridors of blackened souls

Doorways reveal a realm unknown
Unseen to others, unbelievable things I have been shown
A kingdom vast that over countless ages has grown
Becoming more beautiful as storm surges past have blown
Embracing the beauty of the ominous clouds
gathering around me like darkened shrouds
tempting me to the very core
rupturing the soul and all it fought for.
Sorrowful cries echo through cavernous halls
Memories hang upon shadowed castle walls
Searching for its way out, a wandering soul
Talking to no one but shadows upon the ceiling has taken its toll
Through the tears we see only black.
We ramble through hallways of hurt and abuse.
Searching for the moments we lost.
Another doorway dare we go? Or rest in our painted shrouds of dark?
