I don't want to have.
Sunken dreams and destroyed hopes,
loves lost forever to the summer stars.
Feelings held captive by the heart,
unable to let go of past emotions.
Every new sensation a reminder
of notions gone;
that risk and vulnerability
are too dangerous to face,
real life too real to live in.

And the memory of a touch,
too vivid to withstand in its absence.
That life since you left is constant suffering,
a memory I don't want to have,
as each day turns colder and shorter,
and the night tightens its grip
'round my dreams.

Happiness is forgetting your absence.
Sadness is remebering you're gone. Suddenly filled with a memory
I don't want to have.
Sunken dreams and destroyed hopes,
loves lost forever to the summer stars.
Feelings held captive by the heart,
unable to let go of past emotions.
Every new sensation a reminder
of notions gone;
that risk and vulnerability
are too dangerous to face,
real life too real to live in.

And the memory of a touch,
too vivid to withstand in its absence.
That life since you left is constant suffering,
a memory I don't want to have,
as each day turns colder and shorter,
and the night tightens its grip
'round my dreams.

Happiness is forgetting your absence.
Sadness is remebering you're gone.
