Last Goodbye

My heart is torn, my body broken, my mind is weak
Through roses and thorns, hand him the token
Words so soft their barely spoken
A heart beat so strong
What went wrong?
Its me not you
Words that are so true
Such a useless line
You were never really mine
Thought you were different from the others
Now look at me crying to my mother
Together for such a short time
Then you turn your back on me at the drop of a dime
Fall to my knees in shock
Picking up a single flat rock
With a smooth surface and sharp edges
Reminds me of you and your false pledges
I stand up brushing off the dirt
Wiping my tears away with the sleeve of my shirt
Eyes turned toward the clear blue sky
Realizing this will be our last goodbye
Please comment and tell me what you think...good or bad
