Topic: Sad Poetry

Contributed By: elle

I am with you
in the nothingness
that surrounds me,
you are near.
I have your body
next to mine
resting softly
up against me.
the temptation
overwhelming. . .
& yet so very dear.
I feel I only want you
to move closer,
to feel you
touch my skin.
your fingers
oh so gently
transcending
over skin.
your breath
upon my hair.
I love it so
just there. . .
the dance of love
begins
& you,
you pull me closer
within imagining,
your lips
upon my skin.
yes, you
& you alone
are dear to me.
a garden of delight. . .
you are delightful
& I can only
thank you
my dear friend
as we melt
& find each other
as the moonlight
stretches toward us
as reality reaches in
where sweat & tears
meet upon our skin.
no matter
at my bartering,
how daybreak
brings an end.
to phantom love
& warm embrace. . .
a whispered
goodbye. . .
such sweet oblivion.
